All change: WordPress – a 3rd place

Start-ups are volatile things. FreelanceWP’s proven no different. Earlier this year, we lost Simon from the team. New lesson: Key skills: working out how to change a certain part of a WordPress webpage

Often the first exposure you’ll get to a new client or WordPress site is someone asking you if you can ‘just change these bits on the site, they’re driving me nuts’. New lesson: Website project – initial requirements gathering

A key skill for selling your services as a WordPress freelancer is to be able to assess a website project quickly but accurately. Sometimes you’ll receive a full, detailed brief that tells you all you need to know about the project so that you can make a decision there and then about a likely budget, timescale and feasibility. The rest of the time, you’ll need to explore a project’s requirements. This form is designed to guide you through the critical basics of a new website project. You can fill it in yourself as you’re on the phone with a client, or ask them to fill it in in their own time and send it to you.

Find the full post and the form here: http://freelancewp.com/lesson/website-project-initial-requirements-gathering/ - it’s free to use!
